Reviews and Ratings
I recently stayed at this resort and had quite a mixed experience. The spacious junior suite with a rooftop jacuzzi was a highlight and definitely a great deal. However, we faced issues with room availability upon arrival and the cleanliness wasn’t up to par. Overall, I enjoyed the amenities, but there were some bumps that could use addressing.
We enjoyed our two-week stay at Phunawa Resort, finding it to be great value for money with spacious rooms and lovely, warm pools. The location requires a steep walk to the beach and town, which might not be ideal for everyone, especially those with mobility challenges. While the staff were cheerful and helpful, the breakfast experience was less than satisfactory due to cleanliness issues around the food area. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we would consider returning if we found a good deal again.
I had a pretty good stay at the hotel overall. The suites are spacious and modern, and I loved having our own private roof terrace with a Jacuzzi. However, the breakfast sometimes ran out of options if you didn't get down early enough, and the pool could use some repairs. The staff was always quick to assist with any issues. The shuttle bus to the beach was convenient, but I preferred walking instead.
I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The pictures online looked incredible, but when I arrived, the room felt below average with only three towels for a family of six, and the balcony was dirty. The rooftop jacuzzi was a total letdown, full of grime and not usable at all. On the upside, I loved the space in the suite and the kitchen facilities were handy. However, the breakfast was the worst I've ever had, leading us to eat out instead. Not ideal overall, especially given the price I paid.
The hotel had a nice private garden and rooftop pool which was lovely, although the suite felt a bit worn out. Breakfasts were decent but you had to be early to avoid running out of food. The location was a pleasant stroll to Karon with some affordable eateries nearby. Service was hit or miss, with some staff being excellent while others seemed less attentive.
